The October 2023 Monthly Environmental Sanitation Exercise in Plateau State has continue to record high success with level of compliance by citizens in the State since a state of emergency was declared on environment by the state government in may, but that of the month of October,2023 witnessed a low level of compliance in Jos North and some parts of Jos South Local Government Areas.

A visit to the PEPSA office in Jos North which was under lock and keys  indicated that the sanitation exercise was not observed there. Also, some traders were seen carrying out their normal duties mostly around the terminus market showed that there was no compliance.
Meanwhile, in Jos South Local Government Area, the Transition Committee Chairman , Hon. Peter Vwang Dung and his team who equally went round to inspect the exercise said there is a  plausible level of compliance in the area but appealed to people in Jos South to turn out for a total compliance in next month's exercise.

Hon Dung challenged the people in Jos South LGA to continue to turn  up in order to keep the city clean, because keeping it clean is everyone's responsibility. He also said that more manpower will be deployed to certain places where his team do find difficulty in prosecuting defaulters because of their population especially around the PRTV round about.
In a Media Chat with the NewsGate Magazine, the NewsCrest Newspaper, Ace News Online, Jat HotNews Newspaper, Frank News Magazine, Emerald Magazine, Trust News Online, Reliable and Factual News Online and others, Hon Peter Vwang Dung, the Jos South LGC Transition Implementation Committee Chairman hinted that on the low fines for defaulters, the workaholic Transition Implementation Committee Chairman of Jos South LGA hinted that necessary laws will be canvassed to be deterrent for non compliance.
